Welcome back to a New Year! We were thrilled to see the kiddos back this morning and can't wait to set new goals and accomplish great things in 2017. We watched the Kid President this morning and set some goals for how we can make this year great. One thing we discussed was self-improvement, but we also set a goal for how we could make other peoples year great. I think that is really powerful for us to think about how we can impact others. Be sure to ask your child what goal they set for themself. Try it at home with your family! P.S. We did this at home and Lucas' goal was to plan his birthday party. We obviously have a little work to do on his goals to impact the world, but I guess it's a good start for a 3 year old. We hope your New Year is filled with happiness, good health, and prosperity.
Now for a few reminders to get this year off to a great start!
Events/Reminders:
-Bring in a Collection by Thursday, January 12th: The students will be using their collection in writing to write their opinion and justify it. Collections could be anything from Shopkins, to rocks, to hot wheels cards, to postcards they've collected on trips. The possibilities are endless. Please be sure to label your child's collection with their name and store it in a bag or box. We will be using the collections in class for roughly 2-3 weeks, so only send something your child can part with for that amount of time. Thank you for your help!
-Thursday, January 12th Another Broken Egg Spirit Night 5-8 p.m.
-Thursday, January 12th: Report Cards sent home
-Friday, January 13th: School Pep Rally! Our class is encouraged to wear yellow to support the Air House! It will be a fun time!
-Reminder: No school Monday, January 16th or Tuesday, January 17th for students
Make it a great week!
Peace, Love, and Learning!
